In the Saddle - Short Getaways Around Emsdetten

Auf der Radbahn zu den Highlights von Burgsteinfurt

This tour combines relaxed cycling with a wealth of cultural and scenic highlights. At around 43 kilometers, it is the longest tour in the Collection - but don't worry: every meter is worth it, we promise!

You start at Emsdetten train station. From here, you first cycle along the Emsdettener Venn to Sankt Arnold. There you will reach the RadBahn Münsterland - a pleasantly flat, car-free cycle path on a former railroad line. Perfect for gliding along quietly and, thanks to the continuous paths, also ideal for handbikers.

A first highlight awaits you at the Kreislehrgarten Steinfurt - a wonderful place for a short break and fresh inspiration. Shortly afterwards, the Steinfurt Bagno opens up before you: a baroque park with ornate garden architecture and a historic concert gallery that invites you to stroll, marvel and linger.

Cycle past the imposing Steinfurt Castle and continue through the historic old town of Burgsteinfurt. The market square with its special flair is ideal for a short stop before you make your way back.

Back towards Emsdetten, you will be accompanied by true classics of the region: the former Ascheberg Castle, the idyllic Grafensteiner See lake and the wide meadows along the Max Clemens Canal.

Just the right tour for you if you want to combine culture, history and relaxed cycling in a particularly beautiful way.
