The village and Ems oxbow lake circuit
This tour around the idyllic village of Hembergen starts at the Alte Gasthaus Lanvers and first takes you to St. Servatius Church. From there, it is only a good 100 meters along a picturesque path along the Ems and then on to the "Alte Linde".
You then follow the hiking trail along the reactivated old arm of the Ems to the Heinz Rinsche Tower. From its viewing platform, you can not only admire the full beauty of the Hemberger Ems floodplains, but also take a look at the neighboring Ems cycle path and its cyclists.
The return route then takes you through meadows and fields to the Zurmühlen restaurant, where you can stop for a bite to eat. Passing the old fire department tower, the tour finally ends at the starting point, the Alte Gasthaus Lanvers with Westphalian specialties in a cosy atmosphere.
