The Postdamm and Mystikwald circuit
The route starts in the picturesque village center of the farming community of Ahlintel, directly between the St. Konrad church and the traditional Budde Heimann country inn. From here, the trail leads you to the Steinfurt waterworks, which has been treating drinking water for over 100 years. The mighty feed pump and the drinking water tapping point are particularly exciting - guided tours are even available by arrangement.
The tour continues along the historic Postdam, an old connecting road between Steinfurt and Münster. Once used by stagecoaches and repeatedly the target of robberies, this path is now an idyllic section for hikers and cyclists.
A hidden highlight is the mystical forest: a fascinating piece of woodland that invites you to marvel and linger. The adventure trail with numerous art objects makes this part of the tour a special experience.
