the electrifying atmosphere of one of the most innovative, creative and brilliant bands in music history – with breathtakingly faithful live performances.

The audience can look forward to a rock concert in a class of its own – featuring rousing anthems such as ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘We Are the Champions’, heart-wrenching ballads like ‘Who Wants To Live Forever’ and ‘Love of My Life’, right through to the masterful ‘Radio Ga Ga’ and the operetta-style ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.

One of the show’s many spine-tingling highlights is the moving duet

‘Barcelona’ featuring a soprano and the charismatic lead singer Giuseppe Ravazzolo. With a powerful, dynamic performance and exceptional voices, the two artists pay tribute to the legendary originals, Montserrat Caballé and Freddie Mercury.

Giuseppe Ravazzolo, the band leader of Queen Alive and one of Europe’s best-known Freddie Mercury impersonators, pays tribute to the unforgettable Mercury with an energetic performance and an extraordinary voice – an understated yet impressive homage. Palermo delivers the powerful, signature Queen sound on bass. Simone Fortuna on drums is responsible for the pulsating rhythm.

With great verve, Bridge Markland races through Kleist’s *The Broken Jug* and distils the classic into an entertaining pop-music court show.

The legal dispute over a broken jug being heard in court conceals another offence: an influential man has harassed a young woman. Will Eve dare to accuse the perpetrator and thereby exonerate her fiancé Ruprecht? For he faces military service in distant lands, whilst Hans Albers sings evocatively: ‘Near Rocktown he has long since lain in his grave / and flowers grow out of his bones’. The web of lies and the abuse of power become increasingly transparent as the show progresses. Will justice prevail in the end?

In rapid succession, the master of transformation plays – with and without hand-operated puppets – the village judge Adam, the clerk Licht, the court councillor Walter, the plaintiff Marthe Rull, her daughter Eve Rull and her fiancé Ruprecht, as well as the witness Mrs Brigitte.

A play for children aged 4 and over!

Where Lucas lives, it’s noisy and hectic, and sometimes all the commotion really puts him in a bad mood.

But when a snail invites him into its home in the garden, he is transported into a wondrous world full of sounds and fantastical landscapes. Together with the snail, he explores its inner world and, at the end, he’s even presented with a big, round, very light gift that he can strap onto his back.

Tickets can be bought from 2.30 pm for €5 at the box office.

The Cocomico musical "Conni - The Musical!" is going on tour!

Dave Goodman

Dave Goodman is a true all-rounder: the Canadian-born artist is in equal measure an exceptional musician, storyteller and entertainer. The high-energy performances of this well-travelled singer-songwriter transcend genres; he knows exactly how to captivate and move his audience with soulful ballads as well as powerful, rock-inspired songs.

The fascinating combination of his stunningly beautiful guitar playing—with phenomenal dexterity of world-class calibre—and his timeless original compositions, coupled with a talent for presenting lived experiences with wit and charm, makes him a globally acclaimed acoustic artist and his concerts a truly memorable experience.

Jaco Liu

Guitarist Jaco Liu is one of the most fascinating up-and-coming artists on the international fingerstyle scene. Born in Baiyin (China), he discovered his passion for fingerstyle guitar at the age of just nine. With no sheet music available, he developed an exceptional ear for music at an early age and taught himself pieces by renowned guitarists such as Tommy Emmanuel and Andy McKee.

Liu’s first breakthrough came in 2017 at the age of just twelve: his cover of ‘Thunderstruck’ went viral and racked up over 100 million views. This was followed by television appearances and victory at the prestigious Chinese guitar competition, the WAGF – as its youngest ever winner. Since then, he has performed regularly on national and international stages and has toured with artists including Petteri Sariola. Since 2024, he has been studying at the Dresden University of Music, developing his own artistic style and increasingly focusing on his own compositions. His third album was released in 2025 – made possible by his win at the 6th European Guitar Award.

Peter Finger

Peter Finger, the founder of ‘International Guitar Night’, achieves the perfect harmony of virtuosity, musicality and composition. His musical universe is boundless, reflecting a profound knowledge of both music history and contemporary music. Thus, the attentive listener will time and again encounter the musical language of Debussy, Ravel or Stravinsky – and, in the same breath, perhaps find themselves in rock-inspired realms, lured into ‘strumming’ their way into the vast world of jazz. Or they may marvel at Finger’s almost orchestral, at times breathtakingly experimental interweaving of rhythm, harmony and melody.

Peter Finger’s music is always a sensual delight, far removed from any intellectual detachment. It is both sophisticated and stimulating.

Melanie Peoski presents her programme ‘John Williams & Film Music Crossover’, featuring soulful works by John Williams, impressive arrangements of famous film scores, and her own emotional musical compositions – full of depth, tranquillity and poetry.

The candlelit concerts bring the special atmosphere usually found only in major cities such as Berlin, Hamburg or Munich to smaller towns as well – right here in Emsdetten.
