Kisses on the cheek, yoga and the big theme of ‘letting go’: in her show ‘Take a deep breath first!’, Frieda Braun brings both recent experiences and pure fiction to the stage. As always, the jungle of human emotions and interpersonal relationships forms the wildly overgrown terrain on which her stories run riot.

Is your life chaotic? Do you argue a lot? Do you hardly get any sleep? Help is at hand in the form of Frieda and her splinter group; all of them women with gruff personalities who could have stepped straight out of the famous Miss Marple films starring Margaret Rutherford.

The unworldly Thekla, the meticulous Mia, the robust Brunhild – they’ve compiled a set of tried-and-tested principles for bringing more structure to everyday life. And lo and behold: we suddenly find ourselves laughing heartily at the often-annoying quirks of our existence. For a whole evening.

“Do you know that…?”

“Do you know that…?” – when Frieda Braun begins a sentence with this question, the audience knows: what follows is an observation of everyday life that almost everyone recognises, but which hardly anyone stages as absurdly as this droll and endearing cabaret character. She has mastered the art of taking the familiar and exaggerating it in a quirky way, whilst bringing the unconscious to the surface in an irresistibly funny manner.

Frieda Braun captivates not only her audience but also many critics. The press writes: “A unique blend of text, facial expressions and movement”, and one audience member sums it up in three words: “A meerkat on ecstasy!” As excitable as a hen, as nimble as a weasel, as shy as a hare – in “Erst mal durchatmen!”, Frieda once again showcases every facet of her acting talent.

. People are talking more and more; indeed, many are even speaking more frequently on specific occasions.

However, very few people seem to realise what’s actually happening to them when they speak, and you can certainly hear that.

So it’s high time we took a closer look at speaking.

To this end, we’ll explore various situations, cook up some listening exercises and take to the skies. Afterwards, we’ll see whether anything at all is going on in the sparsely furnished skull of a young man, under the yoke of puberty, and, if so, what.

And what all this has to do with girls and speaking.

The globetrotter from Braunschweig spent over five months travelling through Norway and Sweden by bicycle, boat and train in 2026 and 2024, showcasing the diverse landscapes of Norway and Sweden. The journalist covered over 4,000 km on two separate journeys by bicycle alone, from spring to autumn.

The route takes him through spring-like Sweden, across the forested and lake-rich south of the country, with detours to the Göta Canal, the island of Öland, Sweden’s great lakes and the archipelago coast to the north.

In Norway, he cycled off the beaten track on routes such as the Rallarvegen, the Mjolkevegen and the Aursjøvegen, through magnificent landscapes between fjords and mountains.

In Norway, the route stretches from Oslo, through the fjord country, up to the Vesterålen islands, the island of Senja and all the way up to Tromsø. Taking the Swedish Inland Railway, the journey heads south to Jämtland in Sweden and back to eastern Norway, where it concludes amidst the vibrant colours of autumn.

As well as the majestic natural landscapes, images of the green and bustling cities of Oslo, Stockholm and Trondheim will also be presented.

The pure power of the voice: three opera tenors – unamplified, without microphones, without technical amplification

A concert evening that celebrates the essence of it all: the voice. With its 2026/2027 anniversary tour, ‘Die Himmlische Nacht der Tenöre’ looks back on 20 years of success on stage – whilst remaining true to its unique concept: opera singing in its purest form, completely unamplified, immediate and moving. At a time when live experiences are often dominated by technology, this format deliberately focuses on the opposite: absolute authenticity – carried by acoustics, the venue and artistic presence.

Three outstanding opera tenors, together with a finely tuned string ensemble, create a sonic world that requires no technical effects and is all the more powerful for it. The audience experiences not just music, but genuine, immediate sound quality – without filters, without electronic ‘amplification’.

In terms of programme, the anniversary tour returns once more to Bella Italia, the homeland of great opera composers and unforgettable melodies. Classics by Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Ruggero Leoncavallo and Ernesto De Curtis form the musical core. Moments such as ‘La donna è mobile’ or ‘Passione’ become spine-tingling experiences thanks to this acoustic immediacy.

The anniversary tour’s programme brings together highlights from two decades with a festive repertoire centred around the turn of the year: great arias, timeless melodies and classic highlights that have been delighting audiences for generations. The three tenors are accompanied by a string ensemble and piano, which provide a transparent foundation that allows the voices to shine.

Whether in venerable churches or renowned concert halls: ‘The Heavenly Night of the Tenors’ is an invitation to experience opera and classical music once again as they were intended – as a pure interplay of voice, space and emotion.

Wuff is a lovely chap and always in a good mood. Maunz, on the other hand, is a diva straight out of a storybook. Usually, the two get on quite well. But today it’s been raining all day and Maunz finds Wuff’s unfailing optimism rather annoying. First, she teases him with a juice-drinking contest – which, of course, she wins. Then, ‘by chance’, a fairy turns up and grants three wishes – just for Maunz, of course. Next, she tries to scare Wuff with a spooky story. But nothing works. Wuff is simply still in a good mood. Slowly but surely, Maunz gets angry and starts a proper row. But she hadn’t reckoned with Wuff’s unexpected reaction!

wants to admit to it! Elisa the young cat loves playing with balls – perhaps with the egg too? Or was Shirley the ewe the thief? What was Kalle the frog doing when he sneaked away from the frog concert? Or

could Rosalinde the sow be the culprit?

The Cashbags Live

“Johnny Cash Birthday Show”

To mark Johnny Cash’s birthday, The Cashbags are presenting a one-off special production at Stroetmanns Fabrik in Emsdetten. The show expands on the regular programme with a larger line-up and special musical moments.

The focus is on the “Man in Black’s” greatest songs – from his early Sun Records days right through to his later American Recordings. US singer Robert Tyson plays Johnny Cash, accompanied by Valeska Kunath as June Carter and the band in a classic Tennessee Three line-up.

Additional guests will also be appearing, including in the roles of Anita and Helen Carter, as well as The Ckoehler Family.

A unique live production, staged exclusively to mark Johnny Cash’s 95th birthday.
